What Is Numerology?

Numerology and Astrology have been used by various people around the globe to understand the factors that control the human personality. The Numerology is similar to Astrology in that they both are based on the Solar system. However, they are two different things. Numerology reveals the personality of a human being based on the numbers that represent a person's Date of Birth and Name. Numbers have a direct impact on our life. Each single number is ruled by a planet (e.g. 3 is governed by Jupiter). So, numbers 1 to 9 represent 9 planets of the solar system that are believed to have an impact on our life. Our Birth Number, Name Number and Double Digit Numbers play an important role in our life.

BIRTH NUMBER (OR PERSONAL NUMBER)

Everyone has a number (based on the date of birth) that has significant impact on his/her life. This number is called Birth Number (or Personal Number) and is also his/her Lucky Number. Based on one's Personal Number, one gets the characteristics of its ruling planet. For example, a person with personal number 3 will get his/her basic characteristics from Jupiter. He/she will have more chances of success if he/she carries out his important activities on Dates and Periods suggested by Numerology, based on number 3. Among all the numbers, the Birth Number is the most important number, and it obviously can't be changed.

NAME NUMBER

Similarly, a person's name also has a Number called Name Number. It is found by using the numbers assigned to each alphabet in the name. A person also gets the characteristics of the ruling planet based on the Name Number. This may increase or decrease the characteristics based on Birth Number. There are more than one systems to assign a number to the alphabets. We will not discuss those systems here to keep it simple. Key to note here is that different numerologists may use different systems to calculate the name number.

IF BIRTH NUMBER AND NAME NUMBER ARE SAME, YOU WILL HAVE GREATER CHANCES OF SUCCESS

If the Birth Number (Personal Number) and the Name Number are same, then the Birth Number and Name Number have same vibrations and person will always get the characteristics of the ruling planet. Such persons will have greater chances of having luck in most of their endeavors provided they carry out their important activities on Dates and Periods suggested by Numerology, based on their Birth Number.

IF BIRTH NUMBER IS DIFFERENT FROM NAME NUMBER

If Birth Number is different from the Name Number, it may be good or bad depending upon whether your Birth Number is strong or not. For example if a person's Birth Number is weak, it will be better if his/her Name Number is a stronger number so it can overshadow the negatives of the weaker number and bring about the positive effects of its own.

On the other hand, if a person's Birth Number is strong , and if his Name Number is not strong, he/she may not always get advantages (or the positive aspects) of his strong Birth Number because Name Number might reduce its impact. However, the good news is that through numerology, it may be possible to match a person's Name Number with his/her Birth Number.

DOUBLE DIGIT NUMBERS

Some double digit numbers (two digit numbers) have unique characteristics. Each person gets the characteristics of double digit numbers associated with him / her. These characteristics may be good (positive) or bad (negative). These characteristics can increase or decrease the intensity of the basic characteristics based on Birth Number. So, double digit play an important role and govern our life.
